There are a few cases, all assuming the setup is valid:
1) If the signal bar pierced through the barrier for one pip and closed right there, do you enter immediately, or wait for this bar to be taken out (thus entering at 2 pips away from the barrier)?
2) If the signal bar pierced through the barrier for one pip, then retraced and closed right at the barrier, do you enter when the next bar hits the high of the signal bar (1 pip away from the barrier), or when it takes out the signal bar (2 pips away from the barrier)?
3) What if the signal bar pierced through the barrier for one pip then retrace back inside the barrier for one pip or more? Do you still consider it a valid setup?
Thank you!

This can be a little tricky, because there are lots of variables. In general I differ from FPAS on the exact entry because of my use of order flow. Bob's method has you entering above or below the signal candle, I don't have a problem with that. In general I'm looking at the setup, block break for example. Once a block is formed I then of course am looking to trade the breakout, if there are sufficient orders coming in at the time of the break I immediately enter, understand I'm super focused and my fingers on the trigger. If I hesitated and price has moved one or two pips out of the block in other words, Bob set up I still take the trade. Assuming there are still sufficient orders coming in. In your example 3, often I still will consider a valid, but I will trade the break of the teese.
