Attended a webinar of Wednesday. One thing they were using was UniRenko and Parabolic SAR.
It was interesting and I've been playing around with it on market replay. You stay in a trade much longer which is a good thing.
I've been playing with times etc to see what is the best one to use for day trading.

Found a bug with Renko bars and NT8. I'm done playing with NT8 for now as it still needs a lot more time in the oven. Plus their goofy "vote if you want a feature from NT7 back in NT8" leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I left these posts on the NT forums. First post:
I've noticed that NT8, on EURUSD, prints Renko bars 2-5 time faster than in NT7. Is this due to the tenth pip in NT8? They go so fast that they're pretty much useless. The 70 tick chart looks like it is crawling in comparison.
Edit: I just loaded 2 Renko in NT7 and in NT8 and 8 is printing bars at least 5 time faster.

I've discovered what the problem is.
In the instrument manager - EURUSD - if the tick size is set to 0001 then the Renko bars will print correctly however the ruler as well as the ATM strategies are incorrect. If the EURUSD, in the instrument manager, is set to 00001 then the Renko bars print way to fast but the ruler and the ATM strategies are correct.

Sarcastic, me :-) well at least I got a mention, I do believe you have posted about Renko and imediately feel nervous , and protective, heres the shock Segwin, I also have Renko running I also find an 80% retrace 30% extension works in my favour, of course you need wicks on , I also have a method to show the order flow/importance if each candle its nescessary to avoid missing any price action which would be smoothed out.
